Neighbors, reading carefully.
MCC Levy Watch is a resident-led project. Its purpose is to help people in McLean understand how their community center is funded and run, and to give them a calm place to raise questions.
Mission
Make local public spending understandable. Make it easy for residents to be heard. Help everyone ask questions that can actually be answered.
We value the center and the people who run it. Paying attention is a form of care for shared institutions, not a signal of distrust.
Independence
We are not affiliated with the McLean Community Center, its Governing Board, or Fairfax County.
We do not speak for them, and they do not review or approve this site. For official information, please use their own channels:

Sources before statements
We do not publish a figure, date, or claim until it is traced to a public source we can link.

Questions, not accusations
We assume good faith from staff, volunteers, and board members, and frame issues as questions to be answered.

Corrections in the open
When we are wrong, we fix it and say what changed.

Private by default
Feedback is read privately by reviewers. Nothing is posted automatically, and individuals are not named without permission.

Fair right of reply
Anyone discussed on this site may send context or a correction, and it will be considered seriously.
